With more than 320,000 acres (1295 sq. km.), our BMA is among the 5 largest in Ontario. 20 active bait sites and a success rate close to 100% makes it a great place for new and experienced bear hunters.

We offer bear hunting during the Spring and Fall seasons
Spring: May 24 – June 14
Autumn: August 30 – September 27

Bear-hunting terrain

Word of mouth has spread quickly in Ohio, after a spring bear weighing over 400 pounds was harvested by bow in 2023. In 2024, another hunter harvested a spring bear weighing over 350 pounds!
Interesting fact: The average weight of male black bears in Ontario is 225 pounds. Be sure to book with us to have your opportunity to harvest your own monster black bear!
Our guides have been hunting here for many years. We are familiar with all of our logged cuts, trails, older growth forests and abundant berry patches. By knowing the area extremely well, we ensure the bait sites are placed where there are plenty of bears.
By talking to our hunters on an individual basis, we learn their hunting style and preferences. This allows us to place you in the best possible stand, to ensure you will have a successful and memorable hunt — the kind of experience you’d expect from a professional guided bear hunt in an authentic Ontario bear hunt setting! At our hunting camp, we focus on creating a personalized and rewarding hunting experience for every guest.

• All hunting licenses much be purchased before your arrival, available online at Service Ontario (https://www.ontario.ca/page/hunting) or at any qualified license issuer.

• In order to provide you with access to the most stands, please bring an ATV/UTV. Otherwise, we have limited stands you can walk to from your vehicle.
• A wounded bear is considered a successful hunt, whether recovered or not. Please take the time to place your shot well.

Guided bear hunting package – What’s included:

• Accomodations
• 1 active bait site per hunter
• 1 tree stand and bear bait until your tag is filled
• Recovery assistance, skinning, quartering & freezing of the hide and meat
• Boat and motor for every 2 hunters for the week (Gas is extra)
