Who are we?
We are adventurers, experience-seekers and audacious explorers. We offer affordable wilderness experiences for individuals, groups and families looking for a unique, authentic adventure. And we believe that the best way to do that is to unplug from the outside world and plug into the wild.
Our History
Founded by Rick Wilkins in 1997, Rufus Lake Outfitters was built on the ideals of excellent customer service and experiencing the great outdoors. In the ensuing three decades, we have welcomed visitors from all over North America and offered them immersive, authentic adventures in hunting and fishing.
Located on a quiet bay of Rufus Lake, the camp has unparalleled access to the Opasatika Lake Complex, which comprises five lakes within 1225 sq km of Crown Land.
In 2021, Rufus Lake Outfitters passed from father to son and is now proudly owned and operated by Aidan Wilkins. Aidan continues the tradition of offering excellent customer service and unparalleled wilderness experiences.
Location
We are located in the northeastern part of Ontario approximately 64 km south of the village of Opasatika and 90 km south west of the town of Kapuskasing, off Highway #11.
